What is backstitch embroidery?

The Backstitch is one of the popular stitches among the beginners in embroidery. As the name says; the backstitch begins by pulling the thread forward from the back and back down of the material again - one stitch at a time. Like outline stitches, it is suitable for piercing lines such as outlining the design.  All you have to do is to draw a design and trace it to the working material as it is. Since the threads in the backstitch do not overlap with each other, the thread thickness remains even within the pattern.  You may also increase the thickness of the outline with 2 string strands or may go with a single thread design for a thinner outline.  When stitching small embroidery patterns or when piercing a small area, it is better to use fewer threads. To get a thick finish embroidery designs, it is better to use more thread. Useful Link:  https://apexembdesigns.com/embroidery/font-type/interlocking
